About our company
On the following pages we present a short overview of our 140 year old company. The Water Works of Budapest provides 2 million citizens with healthy potable water each day. Potable water is a special consumable, its existence is a basic condition of our lives, yet it is a natural resource which our planet has always been in lack of.
In the future, wars may even be fought for water, as solutions are becoming ever harder to find. Pure potable water, however, is such a natural element which can't be substituted. Attention must be paid to our water resources to protect the life conditions of our grandchildren and their grandchildren. In addition to providing drinking water, we have to manage, maintain, and develop a property of HUF 58 billion value in order to ensure a secure future for our present and future customers.
